Who We Are
In October 2014, the American Boxing Organization (ABO), based in Illinois, emerged as a distinctive grassroots boxing organization with former world champions on its board. Currently, the ABO proudly features four Intercontinental Champions in the Super Welterweight division. Ron Cruz from California earned his title in Tijuana Mexico, on February 25, 2017. Jessica McCaskill of Illinois captured the Lightweight Intercontinental Championship against Canada's Natalie Brown on July 29, 2017, while Keon Johnson from Indianapolis claimed the Intercontinental Super Middleweight title in Tijuana on September 12, 2017. Demetrius Andrade from Providence, Rhode Island, also secured a notable victory over Alantez Fox for the Intercontinental Middleweight Championship. The ABO is home to top contenders like Jose Haro in the featherweight regional level and Abel Ramos in the Welterweight regional division. Many of our champions have showcased their skills on Showtime and are on track for promising careers.
